My Weight Loss Journey: 7 Kgs in 2 Months 🌿
I reduced my weight from 60.65 kg to 53.75 kg in 2 months, and the journey is still ongoing. This is not just about weight loss—it’s about healthy, sustainable fat loss.
What Most People Get Wrong
Focusing only on the weighing scale can be misleading.
Improper weight loss may cause:
Muscle loss
Water loss
Nutrient deficiency
This can lead to:
fatigue, hair fall, dull skin, weakness, and low energy.
👉 The real goal is fat loss with muscle preservation.
My Personal Diet Approach
(What Actually Worked for Me)
There is a common myth that:
❌ “You cannot lose weight if you eat rice, seeds, or dry fruits.”
✔️ In my journey, I still achieved fat loss—with the right approach and timing.
Step 1: Reducing Inflammation
In the initial phase, I focused on:
Vegetables
Good hydration
Simple, light, easily digestible foods
Flax seeds
I also included healthy millet-based options:
Jowar
Bajra
Ragi
Quinoa
Amaranth
Kodo millet
Foxtail millet etc
Little millet
Along with this, I avoided:
Sugar and sweets
Maida (refined flour)
Milk and milk products
Gluten (wheat)
Corn, maize, soya
Pulses (temporarily reduced)
👉 Goal: Reduce inflammation and reset the body
Step 2: Gradual Reintroduction
This was the key to sustainability.
I slowly reintroduced foods:
Started with milk products (paneer, curd/dahi) (not milk initially)
Then added pulses, gluten (roti), and other foods
Now, after my weight loss :
I take sweets occasionally
I eat roti, dal, and balanced meals
Somedays I eat outside or have cheat meals
Free cheat meals everyday on trips
Because I understood what suits my body and in what quantity
Step 3: Listening to My Body
I regularly monitored:
Weight
Blood pressure
Body signals like:
Bloating
Heaviness
Lethargy
Uneasiness
Sleepy feeling
Weakness
👉 These signs helped me identify inflammatory triggers.
Step 4: Managing Calories & Balance
👉 If you consume more calories, you must balance it.
I managed this through:
Exercise
Intermittent fasting
Staying active
One day weekly fasting
Step 5: Weekly Fasting Practice
✔️ One fasting day per week
During fasting, I took:
Water
Black tea / black coffee / green tea
Jeera water
Fennel (saunf) water
Ajwain water
Methi water
Coriander water
Ceylon cinnamon water
👉 Helps in digestion, metabolism, and control over cravings.
Exercise During This Phase
❌️Avoid over-exercising during restricted diet
✔️ Focus on:
Light to moderate workouts
Strength + stretching
Consistency
Good sleep of 6 -8 hours
Mental health - HAPPINESS & YOUR SWEET SMILE
Important Learnings
No food is permanently restricted
Millets and simple foods help in the initial phase
Identify your body’s inflammatory triggers
Sustainability matters more than speed
Final Message
❤️Today, I can enjoy foods which I once avoided—because I learned balance and awareness.
👉 Understand your body
👉 Observe your reactions
👉 Stay consistent
That is the real secret of sustainable weight loss.
