A 38-year-old male came to my clinic on 5 May 2025 with complaints of chronic allergy, pressure urticaria with multiple food intolerances.
Chief Complaints
Itching of fingers and hands, face, scalp present throughout the year except during December.
Red rashes on areas of the body, whenever pressure was applied.
The affected area would become very hot, and the heat could even be felt through clothing.
History of present illness
Chronic allergic reactions aggravated by several environmental and dietary factors.
Aggravating factors ( which used to increase allergy )
Cigarette smoke
Dust and pollution
Damp or old houses
Junk food
Tomato, even when cooked in food
The rashes used to increase to spread to other parts of the body, requiring the use of Montair-LC / Montec-LC , T. Belastine for symptomatic relief.
Food Allergies and Intolerances
Tomato
Brinjal
Peanuts
Mustard , Coconut, Groundnut , Sesame & Refined oil.
He also experienced symptoms like
Lactose intolerance (aggravation from milk, paneer, sweets, khoya)
Gluten intolerance (aggravation from wheat and wheat products)
At one stage, due to multiple food reactions, the patient was restricted mainly to rice and dal.
Amelioration ( ie feels better in )
Winter season, especially December
Cold bathing and cold water
Air-condition
Bathing before sleep relieved itching
Newly constructed houses

Treatment and Management
The patient was treated with individualized homoeopathic medicines based on the totality of symptoms.
Along with the medicine, the following supportive management was advised :-

Deep breathing exercises
Adequate water intake
Maintaining a healthy daily routine
The patient gradually improved with homoeopathic treatment and lifestyle management.
Follow - up
Remarkable improvement seen.
Gradually, the allergic symptoms reduced and the patient was able to tolerate many foods that previously caused allergic reactions.
Able to tolerate peanuts, mustard oil, refined oil , coconut oil & others.
Could eat tomato in any form.
Lactose intolerance resolved; he can now consume milk and milk products without discomfort.
Gluten intolerance resolved; he can now eat wheat and wheat products normally.
Urticaria symptoms subsided significantly
Previously, the patient was restricted to rice and dal for many months , but now he is able to consume a normal diet.
At present, the only remaining sensitivity is allergy to brinjal, while other food allergies have resolved.
Patient’s Current Status
The patient is very happy with the progress of treatment. He is now able to live a normal, healthy and active life without the constant fear of allergic reactions.
